The Battle of Mackinac Island (to be released 2023, SNAFU) In the final year of the War of 1812, the Americans launched an ill-fated attempt to recapture strategic Mackinac Island from the British. Faced with a competent British commander, ambush by Menominee warriors, an unfavorable position on the field, and just plain bad luck, the Americans suffered significant losses and were forced to withdraw – or be destroyed. The Battle of Mackinac Island is designed as both a solitaire and two-player game that can be played in about 30 min. In solitaire mode, the player takes on the role of the American commander and must make successful decisions under tough conditions that can quickly change. BGG page
